The Autumnal Equinox
秋分
扁舟西去气凌云，坐看鱼龙跃浪纹。
风起白苹初日晚，霜雕红叶欲秋分。
9月22日21时31分，迎来秋分节气
阴阳相半，昼夜均长
寒暑平分，故名“秋分”
Yin and Yang phase half, day and night are the same length.
The cold and heat divide equally, so it is called “autumnal equinox”.
秋分至，残暑终
意味着秋季正式来临
昼夜温差较大，不时有秋雨降临
正所谓“一场秋雨一场寒”
It is called “an autumn rain and a cold”.

秋分的标志性物候有三
一候 雷始收声
The thunder begin to stop
雷八月阴中入地收声
阳光随之衰微
暑气终结，秋寒开始
二候 蛰虫坯户
Hibernating insects begin to hide in the burrow.
受寒气驱逐
蛰居的虫类入地封住巢穴
告别残秋，准备冬眠
三候 水始涸
The water begin to dry.
天气干燥，水汽蒸发快
湖泊河流水量变少
沼泽水洼几近干涸
秋分时节，收获满满
棉花吐絮，烟叶染黄
梨柿荸荠，百果收仓
正如民谚所说
“一年辛勤在于秋，粮不入屋不算收”
“A year’s hard work lies in autumn, and grain does not enter the house is not counted as income”.
金秋时节，登高望远
愿我们在喜获丰收的同时
也为往后的播种做好准备
